Cleo

“When I saw Cleo first she was a pitiful little thing to see. She was terrified of being touched and ran in terror as a person approached. In a stall she would climb the walls trying to get away from a person.

It took a month of daily feeding and touching to get her where she did not panic when a person approached her. It took two months before she accepted being touched readily.

This is the email that goes with the picture of Cleo with ribbon on her bridle. This was the first show for Cleo. She was under saddle and at a show in lead line in less than a month in her new home. She had never been ridden or even tacked up before going to her new home. This is a testimony to have brave and confident a young horse becomes when using the Parelli Seven Games with them.” –Morgan Silver, Founder of HPAF

Hey Morgan,

I have to tell you that pony is amazing. She is the quietest most sensible pony we have on the farm. She lets us clip, bathe, braid, anything we want to do to her with no trouble at all. She isn’t at all flinchy when we pat her and she loves it when all the little kids love on her and tell her how beautiful she is.

Maddie has gotten on her and walk and trotted and she couldn’t have cared less. She was Grand Champion at the Littlewood horse show and Best overall young pony model at the show. She got off the trailer like she had been there her whole life and wasn’t at all bothered by anything. We really feel this is a special pony and we are so very happy with her.

Thanks,

Lauren Silverstein

UPDATE: We took Cleo to a show in Wellington this past Sunday and she was shown by a 5 year old kid in the leadline class. She won the first class and was second in the second class. I will try and get you some pictures of her under saddle. She is too cute and we just love her.
Lauren
