What is a Poker Ride?   The “poker ride” - or “poker run” as it is often called - is a marked trail where riders pick up poker playing cards at designated stops in order to end up with a “poker hand”… it’s five card stud on horseback.  The riders will draw their cards at various stops along either of the trail routes and the scores will be calculated at the end of the ride.   The highest scores win.  Scores are calculated using Hoyle’s Rules of Poker.
