Our Founder

Executive Director and Founder of HPAF, Morgan Silver is a native of Miami, Florida.

Morgan brings extensive experience with horses to the operation of HPAF. Throughout her career, Morgan has ridden and trained Arabians, Thoroughbreds, Quarter horses, American Saddlebreds, Paso Fino's, Tennessee Walkers, Mangalarga Marchadors, Andalusians and Draft Horses.

She has Hunt Seat instruction at the original Gladewinds Farm; Side Saddle training under the late M. Robert Mannix; Three and Five Gaited Saddlebreds and Roadsters with James Ragsdale and Cynthia Wood Stables; Saddle Seat Equitation under the instruction of Helen Crabtree; Dressage with Cindy Spalding.

Morgan has been a Judge and Instructor with the International Side Saddle Organization and is also a life member since 1980.

Morgan has studied cruelty investigations with the University of Missouri Law Enforcement Education Department. She has successfully completed the American Humane Association's Horse Abuse Investigations School and the North Carolina State Investigations Workshop and Horse Protection Officer Short Course. Morgan has also studied Oriental Medicine and Nutrition at the Kushi Institute in Boston, Massachusetts and in Kiental, Switzerland.
