My name is Sugar because I am so sweet. I am a twelve-year-old miniature mule. When I came to Horse Protection my feet were so overgrown I could barely move. With the help of Horse Protection and the Levy County Sheriff’s Office I got to safety. Now I am feeling and moving so much better and ready to find my forever home. Could that be you? Love, Sugar

Pedrito

Pedrito

Pedrito and Cano are enjoying their forever home in sanctuary at Horse Protection.

“My mother’s final request was for her horses not to suffer when she could no longer care for them.

My parents’ 50 years of marriage was built around horses as joy and bonding. My mother found them healing at a very young age as many do.

When my father passed and my mother’s disease took a final hold I needed to find someplace I could trust. I found HPAF as a perfect match. The staff is professional and thorough with every aspect of the care of my mom’s “Boys”.

I am forever grateful.”
